Praise God for His design for motherhood. Pray all of our mothers will embrace their role and responsibility in preparing their children for the lives to which God has called them. Pray for women who desire to have children but have found that to be a struggle to find comfort in God and His plan for them. Pray for mothers whose children have passed away to find peace in God. Pray for women throughout our faith family who are spiritual mothers to so many to continue in making disciples both here and around the world.

This week we are praying for Discovery Clubs, a ministry of the Birmingham Metro Baptist Association. Discovery Clubs are weekly after-school Bible clubs that meet in dozens of public elementary schools across the greater Birmingham area and surrounding counties. They offer Bible study, memory verse activities, and other fun and inspirational activities to help children know about the love of Christ. Discovery Clubs teach the gospel to children while also building Biblical foundations for life, developing character, and changing families. We’re also praying this week for Hope Community Church and Pastor Jacob Simmons.

Day 1: Pray for the schools that are allowing Discovery Clubs to meet on their campuses again. Prior to the pandemic, they met in 29 schools. This school year they were able to open clubs in 14 schools and one community center. Pray for many more schools to be open to having volunteers in the building soon.

Day 2: Pray for the schools in which they are meeting to be richly blessed by Discovery Clubs' presence. Pray for the school supervisors that oversee the clubs meeting at each school. Pray for the love of Christ to shine through them and for God to give them wisdom as they walk through hard places with their students and volunteers. 

Day 3: Pray for the students that Discovery Clubs are reaching and will reach this upcoming school year. Pray for the salvation, safety, and peace of the students and their families. Pray that as they attend Discovery Clubs, they will know that Jesus loves them deeply and that the volunteers do too! 

Day 4: Pray for new volunteers and mentors at Discovery Clubs this fall. Pray for their protection and that the pandemic would not continue to pull people away from doing the work of Christ, but would inspire them to do more. 

Day 5: Pray for Discovery Clubs' current church partners that are supporting the ministry. Pray for the Lord to bless them for their generosity. Pray for many other churches to join in partnership with Discovery Clubs.

Day 6: Pray for financial provision for Discovery Clubs as they continue their mission to reach unchurched, elementary-age children in public elementary schools. Pray that as they begin to forge new funding opportunities under the Birmingham Metro Baptist Association, the Lord would bless their efforts. Pray for blessings on all who have and will donate to help Discovery Clubs share the love of Christ with children across the city.

This week we are praying for God to raise up more laborers from The Church at Brook Hills as we faithfully make disciples of all nations. We praise God for all the opportunities He has provided for our church to engage the nations, and ask that He would send out more from among us to live and work among the least reached in our world.

Day 1: Praise God for the opportunities He has given The Church at Brook Hills to make His name known globally. Pray for God to continue to give us these opportunities and open new doors for us to engage the nations with the gospel.
  
Day 2: Pray for God to continue to use those we have sent out to establish His Church among hard-to-reach people groups that do not have access to the gospel. 

Day 3: Pray for our long-term missionaries and for God to strengthen, sustain, and use them and their families for His glory. Pray for God to call others to go and serve as Long-Termers as well. 

Day 4: Praise God for bringing the nations to Birmingham. Pray for God to give us opportunities to love our neighbors well and show hospitality as people from all over the world begin to call our city home. 

Day 5: Pray for God to continue to call out more college students, singles, and families to serve as Mid-Termers so that we can continue to strengthen the long-term disciple-making work we are a part of.

Day 6: Pray for our Global Team as they lead and serve the Brook Hills faith family to make disciples of all nations.
