Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Praise God for the gift of His Word. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and insight as we begin our study of 1 Timothy together. Pray our study of God's Word will transform our lives as we strive to learn and obey it. Pray for God's protection from false teachers and false teaching. Pray we will always keep the gospel central to our lives as Christ-followers.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Brook Hills’ students of all ages who have just begun a new school year. We want to pray for their parents, teachers, administrators, mentors, and spiritual leaders as they seek to equip them to reach their full potential in life and enjoy God’s good design for their life as well. We are also praying for Mountaintop Community Church and Pastor Doug Ferguson.
DAY 1: Pray for our students to know, grow, and trust in Christ this year. Pray for them to know Christ at a deeper level and be conformed to His image daily.
DAY 2: Pray for our students to take advantage of opportunities to influence friends, classmates, and school staff to know and grow in Christ. Pray they would be bold in displaying and declaring the gospel to others.
DAY 3: Pray for teachers and administrators to have wisdom, skill, sensitivity, patience, and endurance as they seek to help students comprehend the knowledge they need to gain while under their influence.
DAY 4: Pray for our students to grow in knowledge, maturity, and ability as they prepare themselves to achieve God’s purposes for their lives.
DAY 5: Pray for the right amount of rest for students and staff. Pray for students and staff to grow in self-discipline.
DAY 6: Pray for parents as they guide, encourage, and support their students this year. Pray they would be able to shepherd their hearts toward faith in Christ.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Church Planters, JD and JJ, serving in North Africa. JD and JJ serve among the Arundo* people of North Africa. The Arundo are a people group of over 10 million located primarily in North Africa. Currently there are less than .01% Evangelical Christians among them. Join us as we pray for JD and JJ and their transition back to North Africa.
DAY 1: JD and JJ just welcomed a new baby girl into their family this week. Praise God for this sweet gift of life. Pray for JJ as she recovers and for the family as they adjust to having a new baby.
DAY 2: JD and JJ’s team just recently spent time developing new goals and strategies for church planting among the Arundo. Pray for God to give them strength as they pursue those goals, knowing that only God can accomplish spreading His name among the Arundo.
DAY 3: Pray for JD and JJ’s team to be united in vision and purpose. Pray for God to receive great glory as they serve one another and strive to work so others may know Christ.
DAY 4: Praise God for the friendships that JD and JJ have made in the Arundo community. Pray for more access and for deeper conversations about Christ. Pray for their friends to believe.
DAY 5: Pray for God to establish His church among the Arundo.
DAY 6: Pray for God to call others from The Church at Brook Hills to join JD and JJ’s team.
*The name of this people group has been changed for the safety and security of those serving among them.
