Pray for the Church
Praise God for the biblical community He grants us in our Small Groups. Pray for wisdom for our Small Group leaders as they help lead and care for our members. Pray for those who are not yet in a Small Group to find one they can be a part of. Ask God to use our Small Groups to lead us all to grow in our knowledge and understanding of Christ as we encourage and help one another. Pray for our Small Groups to be fruitful in sharing the gospel with others.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Banks Academy (banksacademy.org), a private Christian school in the East Lake community with a mission to train and educate students with excellence and provide hope for a bright future. We are also praying for Christ Church UMC, and Pastor Paul Lawler.
DAY 1: Pray for the Principal of Banks Academy, Dr. Kathy King, and every teacher to have spiritual insight into each student’s needs and will minister to them effectively.
DAY 2: Pray for new tutors who can meet with students after 3:00pm to help them in reading and math. Pray that Banks Academy will be an educational tool, enabling every student to pursue his or her goals and dreams.
DAY 3: Pray for sufficient financial support to be provided to cover the monthly overhead of staff salaries, facility lease/expenses, insurance, textbooks, technology, and other necessary resources.
DAY 4: Ask God to provide guidance as the facilities are outgrown and the lease ends in the Fall of 2018.
DAY 5: Pray that a united front of excellent education, sound biblical teaching, and godly individuals will together glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
DAY 6: Pray that spiritual warfare in the community will be thwarted by the Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God) in the hands, hearts, and mouths of Spirit-filled believers serving in the ministry of Banks Academy and local churches.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Mid-Termer Megan R. serving in Central Asia. Megan was sent out a few months ago and will be serving there for one year. Her goal is to support and serve alongside Long-Term workers there who are doing Church Planting work among Unreached People Groups. Join us as we lift up our sister serving in Central Asia.
DAY 1: Megan serves the Long-Term team in Central Asia by teaching/homeschooling the children of the members on the team. Praise God for how He has equipped Megan and how He is using her to serve others in this unique way.
DAY 2: This week Megan had to be hospitalized because of illness. Praise God she received good care and is on the mend. Pray for God to restore her health and help her to recover quickly. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel even in this suffering.
DAY 3: Megan and her teammate Nia are actively trying to show the gospel to their friends. Pray that they would be faithful and that the Lord would pave the way for them. Pray as well that they would love each other well and represent His name accurately.
DAY 4: Megan attends a local fellowship of believers. Pray for this group of believers as they hunger for deep and solid teaching, mentorship, and growth. Pray for God to preserve their faith and give them perseverance when things get hard.
DAY 5: Pray for Megan and her teammate as they struggle sometimes to share truth with the local believers at their church. Many of the believers are young in their faith and need discipleship
DAY 6: Megan will be returning to the States next month at the end of her term. Pray for Megan as she seeks the Lord and if He is calling her Long-Term. Pray for wisdom and clarity from God as Megan starts the process of going Long-Term.

Saved My Soul
Chorus
You my God have saved my soul
I am Yours forevermore
I won't be moved of this I'm sure
You are my God and You saved my soul
Verse 1
I was lost when you came for me
Held in chains by the enemy
But You broke them in victory
Now I'm free I am free
Verse 2
You’re my joy and You are my hope
I am saved by Your grace alone
I will sing of Your love for me
I am free I am free
Verse 3
Now I stand with the Kings of kings
He has paid for my every sin
And from now through eternity
I am free I am free
Bridge
What once was dead is now alive
You gave to me the breath of life
You brought me up out from the grave
I'm bursting out with songs of praise
His Mercy is More
Verse 1
What love could remember no wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 2
What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 3
What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Chorus
Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
The Lord Our God
Verse 1
Promise maker promise keeper
You finish what You begin
Our provision through the desert
You see it through till the end
You see it through till the end
Chorus
The Lord our God is ever faithful
Never changing through the ages
From this darkness You will lead us
And forever we will say
You're the Lord our God
Verse 2
In the silence in the waiting
Still we can know You are good
All Your plans are for Your glory
Yes we can know You are good
Yes we can know You are good
Bridge
We won't move without You
We won't move without You
You're the light of all and all that we need
(REPEAT)
Only a Holy God
Verse 1
Who else commands all the hosts of heaven
Who else could make every king bow down
Who else can whisper and darkness trembles
Only a Holy God
Verse 2
What other beauty demands such praises
What other splendour outshines the sun
What other majesty rules with justice
Only a Holy God
Chorus
Come and behold Him
The One and the Only
Cry out sing holy
Forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God
Verse 3
What other glory consumes like fire
What other power can raise the dead
What other name remains undefeated
Only a Holy God
Verse 4
Who else could rescue me from my failing
Who else would offer His only Son
Who else invites me to call Him Father
Only a Holy God
Only my Holy God
In Christ Alone
Verse 1
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
Verse 2
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
Verse 3
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
Verse 4
No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
Bridge
I find my strength I found my hope
I find my help in Christ alone
When fear assails when darkness falls
I found my peace in Christ alone
I give my life I give my all
I sing my song to Christ alone
The King of Kings the Lord of Lords
All heaven sings to Christ alone
To Christ alone
To Christ alone
