Pray for the Church
Praise God for bringing us together as a faith family here in Brook Hills. Ask God to help us see and share the burdens and needs of one another. Pray for Him to grow our love and compassion. Pray for God to deepen our relationships and strengthen our commitment to one another.
Pray for the City
This week, we are praying for The Lovelady Center, a local Christian nonprofit ministry dedicated to empowering women in transition to rebuild their lives and overcome barriers such as addiction & homelessness. They also assist with re-entry into society from incarceration through a faith-based curriculum and various support services, so they can return to society as well-equipped women of God. About 400 women and 75 children reside there for 6-9 months while in their program. We are also praying for Grace & Truth Church and Pastor Steve Longenecker.
Day 1: Pray for the women and children at The Lovelady Center to be receptive to the gospel and yielded to the transformation that Jesus desires for their lives.
Day 2: Pray for the Lovelady Center staff as they discern the needs of the Loveladies and their children. Pray they would know how to best minister to each woman and for them to follow God’s leading to help restore them to His good design for their lives.
Day 3: Pray for the funding available from generous donors and partners to match the current needs of this growing ministry.
Day 4: Pray for God to send more teachers for the on-site Kindergarten – 8th Grade school, Freedom Reigns Academy.
Day 5: Pray for the transportation needs of the Loveladies and their children, for the drivers, and for adequate funding to provide safe means of transportation.
Day 6: Pray for the upcoming Christmas season, that every woman and child at the center will see the love of Christ through the year-end services and celebrations.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills partner, Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC), in Great Britain. FIEC is a family of over 500 local churches who are united by the gospel. FIEC exists to encourage and equip these local churches to thrive so they can impact their nation and the world with the good news of Christ. Brook Hills partners with them to help promote the revitalization of evangelical churches in their network. Join us this week as we host our partners in Birmingham and pray for their work in Great Britain.
Day 1: Praise God for FIEC and the work the Lord has given them in Great Britain. Pray for God to continue to give wisdom to their leaders and a clear vision for the future.
Day 2: There are many churches in Great Britain that are on the brink of closing their doors forever. Pray for a movement of the gospel throughout Great Britain, for many to hear of Christ, for disciples to be made, and for churches to be strengthened and established throughout the nation.
Day 3: Pray for Phil Walter who leads the Church Revitalization program. Pray for God to give him wisdom and discernment as he leads pastors and their congregations to evaluate how God wants to strengthen their fellowship.
Day 4: Pray for the churches that are part of the revitalization process. This is not an easy process and often times is difficult to acknowledge the weaknesses that need to be strengthened to be a healthy multiplying congregation. Pray for God to strengthen these local churches so ultimately the gospel can spread.
Day 5: Pray for local pastors in Great Britain who are part of the FIEC network. Pray for a renewal to preach God’s Word to take place. Pray for local pastors to be obedient to lead their members to make disciples.
Day 6: Pray for God to be glorified throughout Great Britain and for the church to respond in obedience to repentance and faith in Christ Jesus.

The Lion and the Lamb
Verse 1
He's coming on the clouds
Kings and kingdoms will bow down
And every chain will break
As broken hearts declare His praise
For who can stop the Lord almighty
Chorus
Our God is the Lion
The Lion of Judah
He's roaring with power
And fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before Him
Our God is the Lamb
The Lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world
His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Verse 2
So open up the gates
Make way before the King of kings
Our God who comes to save
Is here to set the captives free
For who can stop the Lord almighty
Bridge
Who can stop the Lord almighty
Who can stop the Lord (almighty)
Glorious Day
Verse 1
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight
It was my tomb 'til I met You
Verse 2
I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb 'til I met You
Chorus
('Cause when) You called my name (and)
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
You called my name (and) I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
Verse 3
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new Jesus when I met You
Bridge
I needed rescue my sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I'm breathing
I have a future my eyes are open
No Condemnation
There is no condemnation
For those in Christ Jesus
By His blood I have been made free
There is no condemnation
For those in Christ Jesus
By His blood I have been redeemed
Because of His forgiveness
I don't have to live with shame anymore
Because of His redemption
There's no more condemnation, there's no more
Christ who died raised to life
Made a way for me
There's no depth, there's no height
That can separate me
This I Believe (The Creed)
Verse 1
Our Father everlasting
The all creating One
God Almighty
Through Your Holy Spirit
Conceiving Christ the Son
Jesus our Saviour
Chorus
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in One
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe in the Name of Jesus
Verse 2
Our judge and our defender
Suffered and crucified
Forgiveness is in You
Descended into darkness
You rose in glorious life
Forever seated high
Bridge
I believe in You
I believe You rose again
I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord
O Church Arise
Verse 1
O church arise and put your armour on
Hear the call of Christ our Captain
For now the weak can say that they are strong
In the strength that God has given
With shield of faith and belt of truth
We'll stand against the devil's lies
An army bold whose battle cry is Love
Reaching out to those in darkness
Verse 2
Our call to war to love the captive soul
But to rage against the captor
And with the sword that makes the wounded whole
We will fight with faith and valour
When faced with trials on every side
We know the outcome is secure
And Christ will have the prize for which He died
An inheritance of nations
Verse 3
Come see the cross where love and mercy meet
As the Son of God is stricken
Then see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet
For the Conqueror has risen
And as the stone is rolled away
And Christ emerges from the grave
This victory march continues till the day
Every eye and heart shall see Him
Verse 4
So Spirit come put strength in every stride
Give grace for every hurdle
That we may run with faith to win the prize
Of a servant good and faithful
As saints of old still line the way
Retelling triumphs of His grace
We hear their calls and hunger for the day
When with Christ we stand in glory
