Pray for the Church
Praise God for the faith family He has gathered together here at Brook Hills. Pray for God to grow our love for one another and to use us to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Ask Him to help us see ways we can come alongside one another to be bold gospel witnesses together.
Pray for the City
Unbound Grace (unboundgrace.life) is a Christian non-profit seeking to help men and women find freedom from alcohol and substance use disorder by experiencing spiritual health through relationships with Christ and community with others. Unbound Grace seeks to be an arm of the Church, pointing people bound by addiction to God’s unbound grace through counseling, discipleship, mentoring, and community.
Day 1: Pray for the counselors, mentors, and staff of Unbound Grace. Pray that they would minister God’s grace and truth with wisdom to everyone with whom they work.
Day 2: Pray for the disciple-making efforts of Unbound Grace. Pray that more mentees step up to become mentors. Pray that more volunteers from the local churches step up to be mentors for 12 weeks.
Day 3: Pray for the clients of Unbound Grace. Pray that the hope of Christ will shine brightly into the lives of hurting people. Pray for freedom from substance abuse disorder and for God’s continued grace in their lives.
Day 4: Pray for the staff of Unbound Grace: Tyler Harris, Emily Brooks, Cameron Patterson, Lauren Middlebrooks, and John Steakley. Pray for perseverance, wisdom, and humility as they seek to lead and minister well.
Day 5: Pray for The Foundry and the partnership Unbound Grace has with them. Pray that Unbound Grace cares for their participants well after leaving The Foundry residential facility.
Day 6: Pray for the Unbound Grace Board of Directors. Pray that they would lead well with much humbleness. Pray for their families as the board members give sacrificially of their time to serve with Unbound Grace.
Pray for the World
Brook Hills, we praise God for your generosity in 2022 that allowed us to be poised to step into an unparalleled crisis situation that unfolded in Turkiye earlier this year when two earthquakes occurred within 12 hours of one another and rocked 10 provinces. Your funds fueled the efforts of believers over the next few months.
Day 1: Please pray for the endurance of the church in ongoing relief efforts. Believers are exhausted emotionally, physically, and spiritually as the needs have continued to multiply.
Day 2: Pray against disunity in the church. Satan has been at work to cause envy and dissension, even during times of open doors for gospel witness like never before. Please pray for protection against his scheming.
Day 3: Pray for Christ to be magnified through relief efforts. The Turkish people do not think Jesus is the Son of God, nor do they think he actually died on the cross. Let's pray for the truth about Jesus to awaken Turks to follow Him.
Day 4: Please pray for church leaders to work wisely with governing officials as long-term tent cities have been established in the regions affected by the earthquakes.
Day 5: Please pray for ongoing work to open doors for the gospel to be shared through trauma healing workshops. Pray for healing and for God to meet people in their desperation over the loss of loved ones and possessions.
Day 6: Praise God for providing so much during the initial phase of relief. Please pray for the resources needed to sustain these efforts over the long-haul.
Day 7: Pray for our partners on the ground in Turkiye as they continue to labor for the progress of the gospel there. Pray for them to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, to abound in their love for one another, and for more laborers to be raised up to spread the gospel.
