Praise God for His design for motherhood. Pray all of our mothers will embrace their role and responsibility in preparing their children for the lives to which God has called them. Pray for women who desire to have children but have found that to be a struggle to find comfort in God and His plan for them. Pray for mothers whose children have passed away to find peace in God. Pray for women throughout our faith family who are spiritual mothers to so many to continue in making disciples both here and around the world.

This week we are praying for our Love Oliver - Ready Day One school registration party happening Saturday, May 20th at Oliver Elementary School. Sponsored by Brook Hills, this event also partners with Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank, Serving You Ministries, Oak Tree Ministries, Village Church, and the McSweeny Foundation. These Love Oliver partnerships provide an avenue for Brook Hills members and other community partners to join hands with Oliver families in addressing economic, academic, and social barriers as we pursue disciple-making and grow in Christ-likeness while loving Oliver families together. 

DAY 1: Pray that as each family enjoys the Ready Day One party and receives food, diapers, backpacks, and clothing necessities; they would be encouraged by the love of Christ through His Body of believers joined together to love and serve them.

DAY 2: Pray that Ready Day One would be a fruitful day of evangelism and that every participant would be touched in some way by the Good News of Jesus Christ. Pray that we can effectively connect believers to local churches to continue their discipleship and grow in their walk with the Lord.

DAY 3: Pray for the students and families of Oliver Elementary School. Pray that the Lord will protect their families, bless their homes, and continue to draw Oliver families to Himself. Pray that their homes would become places of peace and that their families would act as a light for the Gospel among their neighbors.

DAY 4: Pray for the teachers and staff at Oliver Elementary School. Pray that the Lord would draw all of them to Himself and that the Gospel could be seen through the believers’ words and deeds. Pray for health, safety, skill, and strength for every staff member. Pray that the teachers and staff’s love for the children can be seen and felt by all who enter their building.

DAY 5: Pray for members of our Faith Family and others in the community who will be investing in disciple-making relationships with Oliver families through one of the many serving opportunities at Oliver and with our partners this Fall and Spring. Ask God to send more laborers into His harvest.

DAY 6: Pray for all of our community partners that will be serving alongside Brook Hills at Ready Day One. Pray that the Lord will continue to greatly bless their ministries and churches and that the beautiful story of the Gospel will be made known far and wide because of their efforts.

This week, we are praying for some of our Long Term Partners, Chad & Abby C., and their daughter Eliana. Chad and Abby live in Southeast Asia. They work for a Christian school and are an active part of a church plant. 

DAY 1: Pray for their marriage. Pray that they would be strengthened in the Lord and that their marriage would be an example of Christ and the Church to those around them. Pray that they would grow together in love and in unity. 

DAY 2: Pray for their daughter, Eliana. They are working through the final steps of the adoption process on the USA side of things. Pray this will go smoothly and quickly. Pray for Eliana to grow in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man. 

DAY 3: Chad and Abby both work at an international Christian school. Pray for opportunities for them to share God’s love with their students and co-workers. 

DAY 4: Abby will be transitioning off staff of the school for the next school year. Pray for her to finish this year well. Pray that she would adjust quickly and well to being at home with Eliana. Pray that she will press hard into Christ in the coming months. 

DAY 5: Chad is involved in the leadership of the church plant with which they are involved. Pray that Chad would have wisdom and be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as he takes on this role. Praise the Lord for the launch of the church plant in their community! Pray for unity among the church members and among leadership.

DAY 6: Pray for students in their youth Bible study. Pray that the Lord would transform their hearts for him and that they would desire to share what they learn with their friends and family.
