Praise God for His provision in our lives and for the generosity of our fellow faith family members. Ask Him for wisdom as we consider our proposed budget for the next year. Pray for us all to consider how we might join Him in His work here in and through Brook Hills by giving of all He has given us in support. Pray for Him to multiply our gifts and use them for His purposes and His glory.

This week we are praying that the Gospel would advance powerfully throughout the peoples and places in Birmingham and that God would use our faith family as ambassadors for Christ to boldly proclaim His message of reconciliation to those around us every day. We pray our faith family would use this holiday season to have gospel conversations and to boldly share their faith with those they encounter over the next few weeks during this holiday season. We are also praying for Shades Valley Community Church and Pastor Jonathan Haefs.

DAY 1: Pray for our faith family to be delighted to share with others not only the gospel of salvation but our lives as well, sacrificing our comfort and our calendars for the sake of gospel advancement in our city. (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

DAY 2: Pray for us to initiate and nurture relationships with unbelievers, providing a clear demonstration of the Spirit’s power in our own lives. (1 Corinthians 2:4)

DAY 3: Pray for members of our faith family to be well-equipped and emboldened to share the gospel and for many who hear to trust in Christ. (Acts 4:29-30)

DAY 4: Pray for the Brook Hills ESL ministry and International Care Team. Pray for those serving with those ministries to have opportunities to share the gospel with the many nations visiting our classes and at our holiday celebrations. (Matthew 24:14)

DAY 5: Pray for Birmingham to be filled with healthy, reproducing churches and disciple-making disciples, for us to bear much fruit, and for our fruit to abide. (John 15:16)

DAY 6: Pray for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done in Birmingham as His people surrender our calendars and comforts for the sake of gospel advancement. (Matthew 6:10)

This week we are praying for some of our Brook Hills missionaries. These friends are living and working in Indonesia. They are seeking to share the good news with many who have never heard the gospel. The majority who live around them are from a Muslim background.

DAY 1: Pray for opportunities to share the Good News with people who have yet to believe in Jesus as their Savior.  

DAY 2: Pray for the salvation of their friends who have yet to believe.

DAY 3: Praise the Lord for the local church that is there in the region where they live. Pray for the ongoing discipleship efforts with local believers.

DAY 4: There are some areas where they live that are completely unreached with the gospel. Pray for the advancement of the gospel in these areas.

DAY 5: Our missionaries have strong relationships with a small number of believers among the people group they are focused on reaching. Pray for these believers, that the Lord would use them to reach their families and that they would be strengthened.

DAY 6: Pray for the fruitfulness of evangelism and discipleship efforts and that they would remain dependent on God, abiding in His word daily.
