Praise God for the ongoing work of Christ in our lives. Pray for us all to live in light of His rule and reign as King. Ask God to help us all faithfully follow Christ, persevering and enduring whatever we may face, with our eyes constantly and consistently fixed on Him.

This week we are praying for the families of Oliver Elementary School and the Love Oliver campaign that launches today. Through Love Oliver, Brook Hills has the opportunity to join the families and partners of Oliver Elementary in overcoming the economic, academic, spiritual, and social barriers they face while pointing them to the perfect redemptive work of Jesus Christ. DAY 1: Oliver families are up against a host of economic, academic, and spiritual hurdles. Pray for God to enable us to minister to their tangible needs while pointing them to the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Pray God would call other Christ-followers to serve them in Jesus’ name.

DAY 2: Pray for those volunteers from churches serving at Oliver Elementary School. Pray for all of the ministries and organizations that connect these volunteers and mentors to students - Oak Tree Ministries, Discovery Clubs, Better Choices for Success Mentoring, NorthStar Soccer, STAIR tutoring, and Brook Hills. Ask God to lead the mentors and other volunteers serving in these roles to exemplify the unconditional, selfless love of Christ.

DAY 3: Pray for God to save and raise up a generation of young disciples at Oliver Elementary School who will let their light shine among their peers and families. Pray they would make the gospel known through their daily love for one another and love for their communities and school.

DAY 4: Pray for the teachers and administration at Oliver Elementary School. Ask God to use their gifts and talents to educate, encourage, and grow young minds. Pray that through their examples of love and kindness, many students and families would see the love of Christ.

DAY 5: Pray for the Love Oliver campaign as we aim to raise $40,000 by Monday, June 10 to help at Oliver Elementary School. In addition to providing classroom supplies, backpacks, and clothing essentials to help relieve the financial burden of Oliver families preparing for school, we have several additional school projects.

DAY 6: Pray for God to use our Faith Family, local churches, and community partners to work together in unity to invest time, care, resources, and prayer into our neighbors at Oliver and display the power of the gospel. Pray He would do a transforming work in the Gate City community and for it to become a beacon of hope in Birmingham.

This week we are praying for the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. They are a primary partner for Brook Hills in sending missionaries. The IMB works to send missionaries to every area of the world to make disciples of all nations. 

DAY 1: Praise the Lord for the many ways He is platforming believers all over the world to proclaim the gospel through the International Mission Board. Pray He would continue to open doors for the IMB to send more believers to the unreached areas of the world. 

DAY 2: Praise God for raising up nine Brook Hills units (families and individuals) from among us that have been sent for mid-term and long-term service through the IMB. Pray for their teams to be unified for the glory of Christ. Pray for them to work heartily as for the Lord and not for men.

DAY 3: Pray for those in leadership with the IMB. Ask God to give them wisdom as they lead and to help them have unity among one another and their partner churches. Pray they will lead as Christ led, with humility and grace, and with love and affection for those they lead.

DAY 4: Pray for God to continue to use the IMB to make the gospel known among unreached peoples. Pray for those who have recently completed training and are about to arrive or have recently arrived on the field. Pray for them to settle in quickly and well and to be a refreshment to their teams. Pray they will be a bold witness to those around them.

DAY 5: Pray for those who are considering going to the nations through the IMB and have begun the application process. Pray for discernment and encouragement as they seek to be faithful however the Lord leads. 

DAY 6: Praise the Lord for the partnership He has given Brook Hills with the IMB. Pray for this partnership to continue to strengthen the church here and among the nations. Pray this partnership would continue to grow and benefit the kingdom.
