Pray for the Church
Praise God for so faithfully leading and guiding us in our individual lives as well as our life as a church. Pray for God’s wisdom as we officially launch our Roots & Reach Initiative and begin construction on our campus development project. Ask God to help us maximize our time and resources for His kingdom here and around the world. Pray for God to help us to grow our faith here and His church among the nations.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for our Love Oliver Ready Day One event on Saturday, July 27 at Oliver Elementary School and the annual Rock the Village event July 29 – August 1 in Marks Village. Through Love Oliver, we have the opportunity to link arms across racial and economic lines to fight against injustice and strongholds of the enemy together through the power of the gospel. We are also praying for Iron City Church and Pastor Kam Pugh.
Day 1: Pray for kingdom advancement as the gospel is shared and physical needs are met by the grace of God in the Gate City community through Rock the Village and Ready Day One.
Day 2: Pray for the Oliver students and families who will attend the Ready Day One event on Saturday, July 27. Praise God for his faithfulness in providing through our faith family the physical resources necessary for every student at Oliver to begin the school year prepared.
Day 3: Pray for each family who attends Ready Day One to receive heartfelt, gospel-motivated hospitality from the moment they walk in the door. Pray for the volunteers to have opportunities to pray with each family and connect with them on a spiritual level.
Day 4: Pray for Rock the Village (July 29 – August 1) to be a fruitful week of evangelism and discipleship within the Marks Village community and that every attendant would be touched in some way by the good news of Jesus Christ.
Day 5: Pray through Rock the Village, Oak Tree Ministries would be able to build deeper, trusting relationships with children and their families as they spend intentional time showing and sharing God’s Word.
Day 6: Pray for the Lord to bless the students at Oliver and their families, as well as the teachers and staff, and that He would draw them to Himself this year.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Mid-Termer, Katelyn B. serving in Central Asia. Katelyn is part of our Central Asia Church Planting Team and has been serving with them for over a year now. She partners with three other mid-term women on the team where they are learning language and intentionally engaging local women with the gospel. Join us in praying for Katelyn B. this week and the Central Asia Church Planting Team.
