Pray for the Church
Pray for God’s guidance as we study Romans for the next month. Ask for Him to grant us insight and understanding and to help us grasp the answer to the question, “What is the gospel?” Pray for God to grant us boldness to share what we learn with others. Ask Him to reveal to us sin in our lives and to lead us to repentance. Praise Him for His faithful forgiveness.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for the ministry of Shepherd’s Fold, a Christ-centered residential and life transformation center for men and women being released from prison. Many of the residents who come there are finishing their end-of-sentence while at Shepherd’s Fold. We are also praying for Hunter Street Baptist Church and Pastor Buddy Gray.
DAY 1: Pray for the men and women who have been released from prison and are currently participating in the six-month transitional program through Shepherd’s Fold. Pray for them to know Christ, grow in their faith and love for God and others, and for their hope to be found in Christ alone.
DAY 2: Pray for those who are walking alongside the men and women at Shepherd’s Fold through the process of re-entry. Pray for their ministry and their own lives to be marked by grace.
DAY 3: Pray for God to provide for the practical needs of the ministry, including facility repairs, vehicles, a water pump, and personal hygiene products for the residents.
DAY 4: Pray for God to provide a volunteer web developer to help keep the web page current.
DAY 5: Pray for God to call out additional financial partners for the ministry and to move in the hearts of current supporters to help with housing, food, and transportation costs.
DAY 6: Pray for God to grant wisdom, endurance, and faithfulness to the leadership team as they seek to do His will through the ministry of Shepherd’s Fold.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Long-Term Missionaries, the Hansen family, serving in Kenya. Erik Hansen serves as a pediatric surgeon at the Kijabe Hospital outside of Nairobi. He and his wife, Amanda, raise their four children and minister to other children alongside an organization called BethanyKids. They are also engaging those they meet with the gospel in order to strengthen the local church in Kenya. For more information, follow their blog at uncommonroad.blogspot.com.
DAY 1: Pray for God to encourage and strengthen the Hansens as they diligently work and live in an area where so many physical needs exist.
DAY 2: Erik leads the Pediatric Surgery Residency program at Kijabe Hospital. Pray for wisdom as he leads the group of residents under his care. Pray for God to raise up new generations of surgeons to care for the Kenyan population.
DAY 3: Pray for God to provide the resources needed to provide high quality healthcare to the overwhelming number of patients that visit daily.
DAY 4: Praise God for the opportunities He has given Erik and Amanda to share the gospel in their work and ministry. Pray for a renewed vision and spirit to what God has called their family to.
DAY 5: Pray for the Hansen kids as they grow and mature into young men and women. Pray for God to provide for their every need and for the faith to trust in Him and see the incredible opportunity they have to be on mission with their parents.
DAY 6: Erik and Amanda have many responsibilities with work, ministry, and family. Pray for God to help them maximize the time they have in the day to be good stewards for what He has entrusted them with. Pray for times of rest to restore their souls.

Holy Holy is the Lord Almighty
All creation praise Your glorious name
Not in Me
No list of sins I have not done
No list of virtues I pursue
No list of those I am not like
Can earn myself a place with you
O God! Be merciful to me
I am a sinner through and through
My only hope of righteousness
Is not in me, but only You
No humble dress, no fervent prayer
No lifted hands, no tearful song
No recitation of the truth
Can justify a single wrong
My righteousness is Jesus' life
My debt was paid by Jesus' death
My weary load was borne by Him
And He alone can give me rest
No separation from the world
No work I do, no gift I give
Can cleanse my conscience, cleanse my hands
I cannot cause my soul to live
But Jesus died and rose again
The power of death is overthrown
My God is merciful to me
And merciful in Christ alone
My righteousness is Jesus' life
My debt was paid by Jesus' death
My weary load was borne by Him
And He alone can give me rest
And He alone can give me rest
Christ is Mine Forevermore
Verse 1
Mine are days that God has numbered
I was made to walk with Him
Yet I look for worldly treasure
And forsake the King of kings
Chorus 1
But mine is hope in my Redeemer
Though I fall His love is sure
For Christ has paid for every failing
I am His forevermore
Verse 2
Mine are tears in times of sorrow
Darkness not yet understood
Through the valley I must travel
Where I see no earthly good
Chorus 2
But mine is peace that flows from heaven
And the strength in times of need
I know my pain will not be wasted
Christ completes His work in me
Verse 3
Mine are days here as a stranger
Pilgrim on a narrow way
One with Christ I will encounter
Harm and hatred for His name
Chorus 3
But mine is armour for this battle
Strong enough to last the war
And He has said He will deliver
Safely to the golden shore
Chorus 4
And mine are keys to Zion city
Where beside the King I walk
For there my heart has found its treasure
Christ is mine forevermore
Bridge
Come rejoice now O my soul
For His love is my reward
Fear is gone and hope is sure
Christ is mine forevermore
