Pray for the Church
Ask God to convict us of any sin in our lives. Praise Him for making the way for us to be forgiven. Pray for repentance and faith for us as a faith family and for all those with whom we share the gospel. Pray for God to save many through our bold witness.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for the Brook Hills Hispanic Congregation and their ministry to one another, to our city, and to the nations. Our Spanish-speaking members gather for worship in Modular 17 at 11:00am on Sunday mornings and meet throughout the week in Small Groups across Birmingham. Abner Aguilar is the Interim Pastor leading the congregation. We are also praying for Iglesia La Fe (meeting at Oak Mtn. Presbyterian Church) and Pastor Octavio Samper.
DAY 1: Pray for the guests of the Hispanic Congregation, who have been attending Sunday Worship Gatherings, to understand the gospel and follow Jesus.
DAY 2: Pray for the unmarried couples within the congregation to understand and be obedient to God’s design for marriage.
DAY 3: Pray for the Hispanic youth, who have been attending Sunday worship services for a long time, to have the desire to be baptized and surrender their lives to Christ.
DAY 4: Pray for the two members of the Hispanic congregation who will go to Nicaragua during spring break and during the summer for short-term mission trips. Pray that they will take every opportunity to declare and demonstrate the gospel and that many will glorify God because of their work.
DAY 5: Pray for God to continue to add to the Hispanic Congregation and for members to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Pray for a solution for those who are no longer able to attend Sunday Worship Gatherings because of their work schedules.
DAY 6: Pray for God to raise up more Spanish-speaking leaders to start new Small Groups throughout Birmingham.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for the Turks of Turkey. The Turks make up the majority people (over 70%) and, though ethnically diverse, have a fairly homogenous culture. The Turks of Turkey are predominantly Sunni Muslims, believing in one god, Allah, and an eternal heaven and hell. However, they have many ethnic beliefs and superstitions as well. Among the over 65 million Turks of Turkey, less than 2% are evangelical Christians. Join us this week as we pray for God to do a work among the Turks of Turkey.
DAY 1: Praise God the Church among Turks has grown and at last become a visible reality, even though they still make up a small percentage of the population. Pray for God to renew in these believers a desire to share the gospel with their friends and neighbors, even in the face of opposition.
DAY 2: Pray for God to open the hearts of Turks to their need for salvation. Pray for Turks to see that salvation comes only through faith in Christ.
DAY 3: Turks have a deep sense of national pride, and even though Turkey is a secular state, its long association with Islam makes conversion to Christianity appear as almost an act of treason. Pray for radical change in public attitudes toward Christians. Pray for the one true God to be revealed in the Islamic-saturated society of Turkey.
DAY 4: Pray for Turks across Turkey to have their eyes open to the truth of the gospel. Pray for thousands of Turks to hear the gospel this year and to begin a life in Christ.
DAY 5: Many believers among the Turks face significant persecution from their family members. Pray for God to provide for our brothers and sisters who face loneliness, isolation, and poverty.
DAY 6: There is a critical need for the global Church to take responsibility for bringing the good news to the lost in this area of the world. Earnestly pray for God to send more workers to live among the Turks of Turkey and boldly proclaim the gospel.

Rejoice
Verse 1
Come and stand before your maker
Full of wonder full of fear
Come behold his power and glory
Yet with confidence draw near
For the one who holds the heavens
And commands the stars above
Is the God who bends to bless us
With an unrelenting love
Chorus
Rejoice
Come and lift your hands and raise your voice
He is worthy of all praise
Rejoice
Sing the mercies of your king
And with trembling rejoice
Verse 2
We are children of the promise
The beloved of the Lord
Won with everlasting kindness
Bought with sacrificial blood
Bringing reconciliation
To a world that longs to know
The affections of a father
Who will never let them go
Verse 3
All our sickness all our sorrows
Jesus carried up the hill
He has walked this path before us
He is walking with us still
Turning tragedy to triumph
Turning agony to praise
There is blessing in the battle
So take heart and stand amazed
Chorus
Rejoice
When you cry to him he hears your voice
He will wipe away your tears
Rejoice
In the midst of suffering
He will help you sing

We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
