Pray for the Church
Praise God for the conviction He brings us in life and for graciously leading us to repentance. Ask Him to reveal any hidden sins in our lives. Pray for us to live confident of the forgiveness He gives and the redemption He works in us through faith in Jesus Christ.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Mission Alabama, a Christian nonprofit organization that brings partners together to serve urban and rural socio-economically challenged families. They assist individuals and families through a variety of programming and initiative in order to achieve a transformed and sustainable life displaying the hope of God’s love. Brook Hills is currently partnering with them to address food security through their "I Care Alabama" initiative and helping with their new "CityServe Alabama" initiative. They also coordinate the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. We’re also praying this week for Christ Church, UMC, and Paul Lawler.
Day 1: Pray for God to be glorified through the work of Mission Alabama. Pray for Him to receive all of the credit and honor for the work that is accomplished by the Mission Alabama team.
Day 2: Pray for Mission Alabama to continue to consistently serve the community well through its programs and initiatives. Pray for the Mission Alabama staff and board to continue to follow the Lord’s leading in knowing the best ways to work with the communities they serve.
Day 3: Pray for strengthened relationships between Mission Alabama and their current church partners across the state. Pray for these relationships to bear much fruit as they seek to serve the Lord together as they launch CityServe Alabama to resource churches across the state of Alabama. Pray for new church partnerships to come to fruition during the upcoming year.
Day 4: Pray specifically for the Mission Alabama staff and volunteers. Pray for their hearts to remain open to God’s wisdom and to be responsive to His leading. Pray for encouragement for them and their families as they continue to serve in hard places.
Day 5: Pray for Mission Alabama’s leadership team to remain steadfast in their work, even in these times of uncertainty. Pray for guidance from the Lord in the best ways to protect both their clients and volunteers from COVID-19 and still be “boots on the ground” in the neighborhoods most in need through their I Care Alabama initiative.
Day 6: Pray for financial blessings on Mission Alabama so that they can continue their work with the underserved residents of our state. Pray for God to bless the current donors and supporters because of their abundant generosity.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for the Baloch. The Baloch are among the most prioritized unreached, unengaged people groups in the world. The majority of the 10 million Baloch are located between Central and South Asia and are entirely Muslim. They are an extremely difficult people to access and engage. The Baloch are a fierce people, full of passion and intensity. Join us this week as we pray for the Baloch.
Day 1: Pray that God would open the eyes and hearts of the Baloch people to the glory of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Day 2: Pray that God would save and establish His church permanently among them.
Day 3: Pray that God would send out laborers to make the gospel known among the Baloch.
Day 4: Pray for those who are currently engaging the Baloch to be filled with wisdom, love, and boldness.
Day 5: Pray for believers to grow magnificently in the Lord and establish churches among their own people.
Day 6: Pray that the Lamb would receive the reward for His suffering: the praises of His people among the Baloch.
