Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Praise God for Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross, which made the way for us to be reconciled to Him. Confess and repent of your own sin in your life, and ask and thank God for His forgiveness. Praise Him for Jesus’ resurrection, which demonstrates His power over sin and death. Thank God for the faith He grants us through His grace so we might be saved.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for faithful and fruitful evangelism and disciple-making throughout our city — especially through the efforts Birmingham Gospel Outreach (BGO), a local ministry dedicated to church mobilization, disciple multiplication, and gospel saturation in the Birmingham Metro Area. We are also praying for First Baptist Church of Pelham and Pastor Daven Watkins.
DAY 1: Pray for all believers to delight in sharing Jesus with the lost around us, to be willing to sacrifice our time, comfort, and resources for the advancement of the gospel.
DAY 2: Pray for Birmingham to be filled with healthy, reproducing churches and fruit-bearing disciples.
DAY 3: Pray for God to raise up more laborers to partner with BGO to see entire neighborhoods, social segments, and people groups within our city reached with the gospel.
DAY 4: Pray for those who have responded in repentance and faith through the evangelistic efforts of BGO. Pray for new believers to walk in obedience to the Holy Spirit and to grow in their love for God and others through fellowship with a local church.
DAY 5: Pray for the unbelievers who are participating in Bible story nights led by BGO outreach teams. Pray for God to open their minds to understand His Word and grant them faith to believe.
DAY 6: Pray for the Gospel Conversations Training at Brook Hills on Saturday, April 7. Pray for participants to be equipped, encouraged, and challenged in their faith and in personal evangelism. Pray for fruitful conversations as participants go out into the harvest.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for our partners at City Church Network in Nashville (CCN). CCN is a network of reproducing churches engaging the over 90 people groups that have immigrated to Nashville, TN. They are training, mobilizing, and reproducing disciple-makers into these communities so the gospel can be shared and new churches can be established. There are many unreached people groups living in Nashville. CCN is strategically getting the gospel to these communities, and many are believing. Join us as we pray for CCN and ask God to use their ministry to make Christ known to people groups they have open access to.
DAY 1: Nashville is diverse with over 132 languages spoken. Many of these languages are spoken by unreached people groups that have immigrated to the United States. Praise God for giving the church access to these people groups. Praise God for the work of CCN and for opening doors into these communities.
DAY 2: South Asian Indians are the largest unreached people group living in Nashville. Pray for a movement of God among this community.
DAY 3: Pray for the leadership and staff of CCN. Pray for God to continue to give them a clear vision for how He wants to use the church in Nashville to make Himself known to all people who call that city home.
DAY 4: The largest population of Kurds living inside the United States are in Nashville, Tennessee. They are also one of the largest unreached people groups in the world. Pray for the gospel to penetrate the Kurdish community living in Nashville.
DAY 5: Pray for our Short-Term team serving in Nashville this week. They will have opportunities to serve CCN by going out and sharing the gospel with men and women God puts in their path. Pray for boldness and clarity as they share the gospel.
DAY 6: Eighty-nine percent of the Southern Baptist Churches in Nashville have some type of unreached people group living in their church’s geographical area. Pray for God to stir the church in Nashville to participate in the Great Commission and not miss the opportunity that is before them.

In Christ Alone
Verse 1
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
Verse 2
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
Verse 3
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
Verse 4
No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
Bridge
I find my strength I found my hope
I find my help in Christ alone
When fear assails when darkness falls
I found my peace in Christ alone
I give my life I give my all
I sing my song to Christ alone
The King of Kings the Lord of Lords
All heaven sings to Christ alone
To Christ alone
To Christ alone
Glorious Day
Verse 1
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight
It was my tomb 'til I met You
Verse 2
I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb 'til I met You
Chorus
('Cause when) You called my name (and)
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
You called my name (and) I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
Verse 3
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new Jesus when I met You
Bridge
I needed rescue my sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I'm breathing
I have a future my eyes are open
Praise the King
Verse 1
There's a reason why the curse of sin is broken
There's a reason why the darkness runs from light
There's a reason why we stand here now forgiven
Jesus is alive
Verse 2
There’s a reason why we are not overtaken
There’s a reason why we sing on through the night
There’s a reason why our hope remains eternal

Praise the King death's defeated
Hallelujah He's alive (oh)
(Hallelujah He's alive)

There's a reason why our hearts can be courageous
There's a reason why the dead are made alive
There's a reason why we share His resurrection

Bridge
The grave could not ignore it
When all of heaven's roaring
Hell where is your victory
Death where is your sting
The world could not ignore it
When all the saints are roaring
Hell where is your victory
Death where is your sting
Hallelujah He’s alive (oh)
Hallelujah He’s alive (oh)
Hallelujah He’s alive
O Lord My Rock and My Redeemer
Verse 1
O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer
Greatest treasure of my longing soul
My God like You there is no other
True delight is found in You alone
Your grace a well too deep to fathom
Your love exceeds the heavens' reach
Your truth a fount of perfect wisdom
My highest good and my unending need
Verse 2
O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer
Strong defender of my weary heart
My sword to fight the cruel deceiver
And my shield against his hateful darts
My song when enemies surround me
My hope when tides of sorrow rise
My joy when trials are abounding
Your faithfulness my refuge in the night
Verse 3
O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer
Gracious Savior of my ruined life
My guilt and cross laid on Your shoulders
In my place You suffered bled and died
You rose the grave and death are conquered
You broke my bonds of sin and shame
O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer
May all my days bring glory to Your Name
Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
Verse 1
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
In the dawning of the King
He the theme of heaven's praises
Robed in frail humanity
In our longing in our darkness
Now the light of life has come
Look to Christ who condescended
Took on flesh to ransom us
Verse 2
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
He the perfect Son of Man
In His living in His suff'ring
Never trace nor stain of sin
See the true and better Adam
Come to save the hell-bound man
Christ the great and sure fulfillment
Of the law in Him we stand
Verse 3
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Christ the Lord upon the tree
In the stead of ruined sinners
Hangs the Lamb in victory
See the price of our redemption
See the Father's plan unfold
Bringing many sons to glory
Grace unmeasured love untold
Verse 4
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Slain by death the God of life
But no grave could e'er restrain Him
Praise the Lord He is alive
What a foretaste of deliv'rance
How unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
As we will be when He comes
