Pray for the Church
Praise God for His word and His wisdom which instructs us in every aspect of our lives. Ask God to equip us for every good work He has designed for us. Pray for Him to help us resist the temptation to laziness. Pray we will all do everything as for the glory of God.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for the ministry of Brother Bryan Mission (BBM), a residential Christian recovery and work-readiness program ministering to economically, emotionally, and spiritually impoverished men in Birmingham. The goal of BBM is for each client to return to his family, church, and community free from addiction, with stable employment and housing, and with a healthy relationship with God and others. We are also praying for 16th Street Baptist Church and Pastor Arthur Price, Jr.
Day 1: Pray for the gospel to be clearly presented and understood by each person that comes under the umbrella of one of BBM’s programs.
Day 2: Pray for the BBM staff to abide in Christ and be filled with His Spirit as they give of themselves to this ministry.
Day 3: Pray for wisdom regarding the many decisions BBM staff must make each day that affect the lives of the men and their families.
Day 4: Pray for those who are now exiting BBM and transitioning back into their communities. Pray that 30 men will graduate from the program in 2019.
Day 5: Praise God for what He has done through the ministry of Brother Bryan Mission and for the many lives that have been touched by the Spirit of God through His Word!
Day 6: Pray for God’s guidance and provision regarding the long-term need of ministry expansion in order to accommodate the steady stream of hurting people that come to BBM in need of help.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Kristi K. as Brook Hills commissions her long-term to North Africa. Kristi will be joining a team in North Africa serving among people groups who do not have much access to the gospel. There she will be leading at a company that provides English programs for people wanting to learn English. Join us as we commission Kristi and pray for her this week. We are also praying for our short-term team serving in London.
Day 1: Pray for Kristi to daily be rooted in the gospel and in God’s Word. Pray she will depend and trust in the Lord each day.
Day 2: Pray for Kristi to boldly proclaim the gospel to those she engages through her work and everyday life.
Day 3: Pray for God to give Kristi wisdom and guidance in teaching English and establishing the English program that she will lead.
Day 4: Pray for Kristi to develop deep relationships with local believers and encourage them as they study God’s Word together.
Day 5: Pray for unity with other team members.
Day 6: Pray for God to save the men and women Kristi will share the gospel with. Pray for Christ’s name to be made known through Kristi and her team.
